Learning Schedule

Foothills Connect features a variety of learning opportunities throughout the year. Please see the program information below for details.

Sustainable Horticulture School

Foothills Connect offers hands-on, sustainable horticulture classes to local individuals interested in learning how to grow crops using ecologically and economically beneficial methods. The 8-week course is suitable for a novice gardener and experienced farmer alike, covering basics like soil sampling and site plan analysis, all the way to calculating and mixing soil amendments and organic fertilizers. Classes are taught through a mixture of lectures and labs, utilizing both a spacious indoor classroom and an outdoor garden plot for experiential learning.
