Lum Hollow Confections

Foothills Connect is proud to have assisted in the startup of Lum Hollow Confections, located in Union Mills.

New in the county, the Joncks first approached the Foothills staff to discuss their plans of replicating their successful
confectionary business from Iowa.

Fritz then took the six week entrepreneur course offered through the Small Business Center at Isothermal Community College, put together his business and marketing plans and then negotiated the use of the kitchen and facilities of the Union Mills Community Learning Center.

Fritz has been manufacturing his unique confections in Union Mills since December 2006 with 70% of his business being conducted over the Internet.
He buys local product and his business supports the rural Union Mills community.
